All Arthroplasty surgeons are allowed to present their
Scientific work.
Orthopaedics Postgraduates, under training, MS, MCh, FNB, and
DNB are allowed to present.
Original scientific work should be selected where the majority
of the work should be done by the presenting/co-author/senior
author and should be done in India with adequate follow-up.
The paper presentation will be of 6 minutes' duration with 2
minutes' discussion. A total of 14 papers will be presented in a
two-hour session (7 papers on Knee Arthroplasty, 7 papers on Hip
Arthroplasty).
Jam session: 2 minutes of presentation and 1 minute of
discussion. A total of 10 papers will be accepted.
Case reports will not be accepted for this category.
The Scientific organizing committee will screen and select the
suitable papers.
The judges for the best paper award will be one of the senior
faculty from ISHKS and one from the foreign faculty to avoid
bias. The results of the session will be declared immediately
after the session so that winners can be present during the
valedictory function.
The scientific work should not have been published or presented
by any of the authors anywhere else.
The decision of the judges will be binding to all presenters.
Paper selection:
Paper selection -7 from knee & 7 from hip will be selected for
podium presentation.
One knee and one hip paper will be considered as best paper by
judges.
10 papers will be selected for Jam session.
Digital Poster Presentation:
One poster will be selected by judges as best poster.
Those papers which are not selected for podium and Jam can be
considered for poster if it is accepted by Authors.
Language: All abstracts must be submitted in English
language only (Arial, font 12).
Word limit: The abstract must be written in 300 words
including the following:
Title: The title of the abstract must be concise, avoid
using abbreviations, and type in Title.
Abstract Content: Should include the following headings:
introduction, methods, results, and conclusions. Do not include
graphs/tables/images/references in the abstract.
Format: All abstracts must be sent in text file (.doc)
and not in PDF formats through the online link.
Please Provide an accurate email address of the submitter so
that the information regarding the results of abstract
submission and correspondence related to the abstract can be
sent on the same.
The selection committee strongly recommends that the authors
submit their abstracts as early as possible to avoid last-minute
rush and system congestion. Late submissions will NOT be
accepted.
Rights to Publish: In submitting the abstracts, the
authors also grant the organizing committee the right to publish
the abstract in electronic form.
Acceptance of the Abstracts: The submitted abstracts will
be peer-reviewed by the scientific committee. The review process
is confidential, and the committee’s decision is final.
Certificate of presentation will be awarded to the presenting
author only.
Abstract Structure:
Divide the abstract into sections like Purpose, Methodology, Results and Conclusions.
Purpose:
Clearly state the primary objective or research question addressed by the study.
Provide context for the research problem or gap in knowledge that the study aims to address.
Briefly mention the significance or potential impact of the study.
Methodology:
Outline the research design, methods, and techniques used to conduct the study.
Specify the study population or sample, data collection procedures, and any instruments or tools used.
Mention relevant statistical or analytical approaches employed in data analysis.
Highlight any unique or innovative aspects of the methodology.
Results:
Present key findings and outcomes of the study.
Use quantitative data, if applicable, to support results.
Report any patterns, trends, or significant observations identified in the analysis.
Include specific details, such as effect sizes or statistical significance, if relevant.
Conclusions:
Summarize the main implications of the study's findings.
Discuss how the results contribute to the existing body of knowledge or address the research question.
Address any limitations of the study and suggest areas for future research.
Clearly articulate the broader significance and potential applications of the study's conclusions.
Kindly Note:
To ensure blinded review, no identifying features such as names of authors, collaborators, hospitals, medical colleges, clinics, or places should be listed in the title or text page of the abstract. Author details and their affiliation(s) should be entered online while doing the submission.
Please ensure that the abstract contains original matter neither published prior in print or electronic media nor presented in previous conferences.
Conflict of interest statement and declaration of conflict is mandatory.
Responsibility of avoiding plagiarism lies with the authors.
You may submit more than one abstract in each category. But a maximum of only one free paper would be accepted per delegate for oral presentation; other submissions from the same delegate will be converted to e-Poster if found suitable.
Registration is compulsory if Paper/Poster/Jam is selected.
